13 Reasons Why

Over the past couple of years, Netflix has increased their programming for teens and with the debut of the newest series, 13 Reasons Why, they’re upping the ante on their commitment. Based on the book by Jay Asher, the 12 episode series (why wasn’t this 13 episodes?? The OCD in me is a little bugged by that) tells the story of Hannah Baker who commits suicide after a date with the high school jock takes an unpleasant twist.

I was given early viewing access to the show and proceeded to watch it with my 15-year-old. We found the show to be true to life of the modern day teenager and their experiences in high school. There are so many great things about this show but instead of writing it, check out the live chat that Sydney and I did on the series featured below!
