It’s National Blog Posting Month!!

It’s November 1st. Most of us are sitting here in a sugar-crashed coma from either too much candy or too much booze from last night’s festivities of Halloween. If you live in NC, you’re lucky andFour Hens NaBloPoMo thanks to the rainy, cold front that’s crept in last night, you’ll be able to use that as an excuse to stay in your comfy clothes and make soup! Okay.. now that you know what I’m going to be doing today…

It’s also the first day of National Blog Posting Month and while the ladies over at BlogHer do this every month, November is the official month and because I don’t have enough going on in my life, I’m going to participate! Honestly, I love doing this because it makes me push my limits on topics and makes me write every single day. There is a list of prompts that are offered but I usually find them to be kind of awkward to write around. So like everything else, I do my own thing πŸ™‚

Saturdays are one of my favorite days to reflect on all the tons of videos, posts, articles, etc that I have seen over the past week, so I think that will be my Saturday trend. So without further ado, here were my favorite posts from this week!!

What The Cost Of Your Engagement Ring May Say About Your Marriage: Jenny from The Jenny Evolution posted this article and it’s kind of interesting. Who else is not surprised that the more the ring and wedding cost, the shorter the marriage? Not me. My mind then wandered to a totally different question… I wonder how many women use their engagement rings to either pay for their divorce or pay to get their lives started again??? Then there’s also another point of view to look at, the true cost of diamonds coming from countries ravaged by war, without going too much into it, the idea of moissanite rings and similar gemstones are a much more ethical choice when you know many diamonds are in circulation due to wars.
