That Honey-Do List is About to Get Full
For the 11th year, the Junior League of Winston-Salem is hosting its Tour of Fine Spaces here in Winston! This is your chance to get a look-see into some of the most amazing homes in our area and see what the latest and hottest trends in decorating are.
Or, if you’re like me, what your big-girl dream house would look like if you had opted for chic, curtains, and granite over legos and Dora.
Proceeds from Tour of Fine Spaces support the Junior League of Winston-Salem’s community efforts including BookWORM, the JLWS’s new signature community project which replaces the annual Rummage Sale; the JLWS Puppet Show, a performance given by members in public schools to educate children about forms of child abuse; Kids in the Kitchen, a program to teach children about healthy eating; and the Children’s Museum of Winston-Salem.
Tour of Fine Spaces kicks off Saturday morning, March 19th, at Keller Williams Realty from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Enjoy breakfast treats and exchange vouchers for maps and tickets while mingling in the newly renovated office space at 280 Charlois Boulevard. From there you will head out and see what area builders, architects, interior designers, landscapers and cabinetmakers have collaborated on to showcase innovative kitchen, bath and living concepts.
Tickets are $35 at the door or $30 in advance online at www.jlws.org/touroffinespaces or at these retail locations: Kim Taylor & Co., 1502 Fabrics, House of Plants, June DeLugas Interiors, Kilwin’s, L.A. Reynolds, McCullough Tile and Stone, Meg Brown Home Furnishings, The Golden Apple, Southern Home & Kitchen, Mainstream Boutique, Monkee’s, Schiffman’s and the Junior League of Winston-Salem. Tickets will also be available for purchase at any tour home and Keller Williams the day of the event.

Thanks to my friend Katy whose company, Hiller & Ringeman, is the title sponsor – I have TWO tickets to give to someone here locally to go and see all these amazing places. Take a girlfriend, take your husband, take one of your kids and keep telling them “see… this is the house we could have if you and your sisters would stop eating in the living room”.
This is a great time to make your wish-list on what you want to see happen in your own house and then hand that baby over to your hubs when you get home and tell him to get busy!
